Below, we’ve listed a few things for you to keep in mind and prepare for the trial session and the big day.
✔️ Send us a picture of yourself before the trial session. It helps us in our preparation to have seen you beforehand.
✔️ Describe your preferences and feel free to send inspiration photos of your preferred look.
✔️ Let us know well in advance if you’d like additional services for the wedding (eg bridesmaids), so we can arrange for more makeup artists to be present.
✔️ We should set up in a well-lit room, preferably near a window or under lamps with white light.
✔️ You should sit slightly higher up on a bar stool, or we can sit at the same height on regular chairs. For hairstyling, it’s better if you sit on a regular chair to ensure we can work ergonomically. Please let us know what is available on-site so we can bring anything that might me missing.
✔️ We’ll need a small workspace for our products, ideally on your right side. A table or windowsill works well. If we’re doing your hair, it’s helpful to have a power outlet nearby for any styling tools.
✔️ If you’ll be wearing a white dress/outfit on your wedding day, wear white for the trial session to get a better sense of how the makeup complements the dress.
✔️ For hairstyling, wash your hair no later than the evening before the trial/wedding.
✔️ For the wedding, have a lipstick/gloss ready so you can touch up throughout the wedding day. If you tend to get shiny, purchase a loose powder (transparent mattifying powder) or blotting papers to use during the day.
✔️ If we’ll be meeting at a hotel for the trial and/or the wedding, please inform the reception about our arrival and timing so they are aware. This way, they can send us to your room and you won't need to come and meet us.
✔️ On the wedding day, wear a kimono, button-up shirt, or something easy to slip over your head to avoid ruining your makeup and hairstyle when changing into your bridal outfit.
✔️ Don’t forget to plan for something to eat during the preparations.
